At Deep Analysis, we undertake technical and market due diligence for Private Equity, Investment Banks, and Vendors looking to acquire. Hence we keep a close eye on what is happening in the broader Information Management and Enterprise Automation market. May, except for the massive Kofax deal (our analysis here), has been relatively quiet, but a few deals this month did catch our attention:

PDF focused technologies remain valuable and interesting – as California-based Aftifex acquired South Korea-based ePapyrus. In addition, French-based PSPDFKit acquired two companies (also PDF-focused), Orpalis and Aquaforest.

Legal Technology remains a focus for investors (see our recent report). This month, MyCase (owned by Apax Partners) made their fourth acquisition in the past year of Philly-based Docketwise.

Attura aquired Australian OpenText services partner Hayes.

Pegasystems (recently in the news for all the wrong reasons) acquired Process Mining vendor Everflow.

Ricoh announced it is to acquire Fujitsu subsidiary PFU Limited.

As always, our door is open at Deep Analysis. If you have any thoughts on these deals or want to acquire an Information Management or Enterprise Automation firm, give us a call; we can provide you with some expert advice and insight before you cut a deal.
